Among the hills of Oltrepò Pavese, stories of sharing and hospitality have always intertwined. Doors opened to guests, and the merenda was born from whatever the house and the season had to offer: bread, cured meats, cheeses, homemade desserts, a glass of wine to sip together.

From this tradition our Merenda Varzese is born, a journey of flavours that tells the story of the Staffora Valley through its products, its traditions and the simple gestures of conviviality.

At the heart of the experience is our 1164 – Salame di Varzi DOP, aged in the medieval cellars of the Castle, accompanied by a selection of local products: Miccone bread, honey-paired cheeses, Torta di Mandorle di Varzi almond cake and a glass of Oltrepò Pavese wine.

The Merenda Varzese can be enjoyed on its own or combined with the guided tour of the Castle, for an experience that unites history, taste and territory.
