A residence that continues to tell
Inside the Dimora Malaspina there are over fifteen noble rooms, furnished and restored with care, which bring to light the splendor of different eras: from the Middle Ages to the Renaissance, up to the refined atmospheres of the eighteenth century.
Every environment preserves objects, registers and family memories: precious pieces of a mosaic made of anecdotes and secrets.
Today the Castle welcomes visitors with guided tours by reservation, a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in the memory of Varzi and Oltrepò Pavese between history, art and timeless suggestions. Custodian of the soul of the Residence is Count Odetti, who sometimes personally accompanies visitors, making the experience even more fascinating.
Our guided tours are a journey into eight centuries of history and include paths dedicated to schools, children and private groups, designed to transform the discovery of the Castle into a unique moment.
TYPES OF VISITS
Standard Visit
A complete path through the main environments of the Castle: furnished rooms, internal courtyards, panoramic views and some of the areas restored in the last decades.
Average duration: 60–75 minutes.
Participants: up to 25 people per group. On request, it is possible to accommodate larger numbers by organizing multiple groups at the same time.

Guided Tour with Merenda Varzese
A moment of taste with the flavours of the territory, at the heart of the experience our 1164 – Salame di Varzi DOP, aged in the medieval cellars of the Castle, accompanied by a selection of local products: Miccone bread, honey-paired cheeses, Torta di Mandorle di Varzi almond cake and a glass of Oltrepò Pavese wine.

Guided Tour with Tasting
A tasting lunch between the history and flavours of Oltrepò Pavese, to be experienced in a timeless atmosphere.
Availability: from Friday to Monday, at lunch.
